The User Day was held at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, right next to our own offices in Amsterdam and with a view of the IJ river. The emcee and coordinator was Effacts account manager Marijn Annema, who also organized the day. The morning program began with presentations from five Effacts clients, who presented a unique business case on trending topics in the field of legal technology such as task management, compliance tools, approval workflows, holding vs. subsidiary and the garbage in, garbage out principle. During the round table sessions our clients were able to discuss the presentations they had just seen and their experiences with their individual Effacts systems. Clients were also given the chance to share their feedback about their Effats systems in a survey.
To round off the morning session, two of our partners DocuSign and Privacy Valley gave presentations about how Effacts can be integrated with other technology tools. While most Effacts clients were already aware that the company had been acquired by Wolters Kluwer, Harm Bavinck, director of Effacts, talked about what changes had been going on at Effacts and what the impact on clients would be. Afterwards, users had the opportunity to network with other legal professionals and Effacts employees during a canal cruise and lunch.
This was the first year we had organized a User Day on such a large scale. When we started planning the event, we could have never imagined that so Both Effacts employees and clients were overwhelmed by the number of clients who attended the day. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone again next year.
