Corporate Lawyers are Satisfied with their Job

A common belief in the legal profession is that frustrated lawyers leave their firms for corporate legal departments in search of more job satisfaction. The 2016 Evers Legal Career Satisfaction Survey, conducted among 223 in-house counsel, sought to determine whether the belief holds true. The survey uncovered that corporate legal departments are sought-after places of employment for lawyers.

Effacts Launches in Germany

Wolters Kluwer launched Effacts officially in Germany at the Unternehmensjuristen Kongress 2016 (convention for corporate lawyers) in Berlin. Wolters Kluwer was an official partner of the event, which was attended by 450 participants who are employed in corporate legal departments. During the three-day convention, Wolters Kluwer showcased the products in the Legal & Regulatory division - including Effacts for the first time - and established themselves as a new player in the German market. The Germany-based Effacts Sales Team was present to give live demos of the cloud-based legal management software and received an overwhelmingly positive response. Effacts User Day 2015

The User Day was held at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, right next to our own offices in Amsterdam and with a view of the IJ river. The emcee and coordinator was Effacts account manager Marijn Annema, who also organized the day. The morning program began with presentations from five Effacts clients, who presented a unique business case on trending topics in the field of legal technology such as task management, compliance tools, approval workflows, holding vs. subsidiary and the garbage in, garbage out principle. During the round table sessions our clients were able to discuss the presentations they had just seen and their experiences with their individual Effacts systems. Clients were also given the chance to share their feedback about their Effats systems in a survey.
